FAQ

Is it safe?

Yes. Our horses are carefully selected, activities are supervised, and safety protocols are comprehensive.

I'm nervous about horses. Is this still for me?

Absolutely. Nervousness is normal and actually creates powerful learning. Our facilitators support you through any apprehension.

What if the weather is bad?

We adapt programming for weather where possible. Experiences proceed unless conditions are unsafe.

Can I bring observers?

Generally no - observers change the learning dynamic. Exceptions may be made; please inquire.

Do you accommodate disabilities?
Yes. We adapt activities for various physical abilities. Contact us to discuss specific needs.

Is this suitable for children?

Our youth programs are designed for ages 12+. Younger children may participate in family experiences on a case-by-case basis.

What exactly is Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL)?

Equine-Assisted Learning is an experiential education approach where horses facilitate human development. Unlike therapeutic horse-riding, EAL is ground-based and focuses on personal growth, leadership, communication, and relationship skills. Horses provide immediate, honest feedback to human behaviour, creating powerful learning opportunities.

Is this scientifically validated?

Yes. Peer-reviewed studies demonstrate that EAL improves emotional intelligence, leadership efficacy, communication skills, self-awareness, and team cohesion. Research from medical schools, universities, and organizational behaviour studies consistently confirms EAL's effectiveness.

How is this different from team-building ropes courses or other activities?

Horses are sentient beings who respond to your authentic self, not your performance. They provide instant feedback based on emotional congruence and leadership presence. This creates insights that physical challenges alone cannot generate. The learning is embodied, not just intellectual.

Is there riding involved?

No. All our programs are ground-based activities. You work with horses through leading, problem-solving, and connection exercises—not riding.

What happens in a typical session?

You'll engage in facilitated activities with horses designed around your learning goals. Activities might include leading horses through obstacles, collaborative problem-solving, or exercises requiring trust and communication. Each activity is followed by guided reflection to process insights and connect them to your context.

How long are programs?

Programs range from half-day (3-4 hours) to full-day (6-7 hours) to multi-session intensives. Length depends on your goals and context.

What's the group size?

Corporate and youth programs typically accommodate 8-20 participants. Leadership and personal experiences are more intimate (2-8 people). Size ensures meaningful interaction and personalized facilitation.

What's included in the price?

All facilitation, activities, horse interaction, materials, and program-specific elements (e.g., photoshoot and brunch for personal experiences). Details vary by program.
